"Did you know that Aphrodite was born from sea foam?" Nara asks. She's clearly surprised as she looks up from the book she had been recommended by the boy in the library, at the other girls in the cabin, and Yooyoung leans forward with sparkles in her eyes. She snags a piece of candy from the table, pretending not to feel the piercing glare Juhee gives her as she plops it into her mouth.
"No?" Ahra replies and continues braiding Yoonjo's hair. They're all having their first night on-shore for many days and damned if they're not going to make the best out of it, loosely braided hair included.
"Why should I?" Juhee asks, sprawling over Hyelim, as she pretends that the air isn't slightly too hot for it to be comfortable. Hyelim groans, clearly not placated even when Juhee pets her cheek and coos.
"Oh, I just thought that it was interesting, Venus being the Roman version of Aphrodite and all," Nara mumbles, closing the book softly.
Yooyoung eats another sweet, a thoughtful look crossing her face as she chews and then she quietly asks, "Like the ship?"
Nara looks at her with something akin to tears of joy in her eyes.

They spend the night out together and Yoonjo's loosely braided hair stops being braided loosely and just hangs long and free instead. Laughter and giggles rings through the air as they make their way back to the ship, Hyelim carefully making sure that Juhee doesn't drunkenly stumble into the water as they walk down the crowded streets in the harbour.
When they're closer to the ship Juhee shouts "All aboard the love boat!" at the top of her lungs, one hand suddenly gripping Ahra's and the other pointing forward as to new shores and they race forward together.

Their relationship is not as much of the constant dance of push and pull as many others; Siwon is the only one who needs to either push or pull in the slightest and Sungmin follows. Smile on lips, eyes slightly devious perhaps — but mostly just soft. His eyelids fluttering closed as Siwon's hand lands on the small of his back, long eyelashes fanning over high cheekbones and it show the perfectly drawn eyeliner that somehow also softens Sungmin's looks rather than sharpens.
A flush creeps up Siwon's collar and to his cheeks, colour that usually would be hidden behind layers of slightly mismatched bb-cream but now wasn't, and he has to look away from Sungmin. His hand falls to his side as if burning, or simply remembering what kind of touches that are appropriate in public spaces. They walk a few more steps before he feels Sungmin's hand seeking out his, grabbing his clammy hand and entwining their fingers as if it was the easiest thing in the world. If Siwon's heart beats a little faster, he surely can’t be blamed for it.

"it's natural to be nervous, isn't it?" henry whispers, his voice almost getting stuck in his throat. it's as if the words does not want to leave him and it has been a long time since he was this nervous. ryeowook is smiling, hand cupping henry's cheek and his breath it hot on henry's face. hotter than the air around them, that a few minutes ago was unbearably warm but now felt like freezing. all too cool. that had to be the reason why he felt goosebumps prickling his skin. he swallows.
"i don't understand why you had to make such a big deal out of it," ryeowook whispers back, and then he kisses him.
